Our elders are a team of men who devote themselves to “shepherd the flock of God” (1 Peter 5:1-4). This shepherding involves cultivating the vision and direction for Southwest, meeting regularly to pray over and address concerns and needs of the congregation, as well as ministering to individuals and families in the church. Our elders are chosen from among men who possess the characteristics outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Currently six men serve as elders. Many other faithful men have served as elders in the past and continue today serving Southwest in various ways.

Our deacons are selected from among those who possess the qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. They serve in a number of roles meeting the physical needs of the congregation.
