NEXTGEN is so much more than just a place to drop off your kids
Growing up is complicated. Faith shouldn't be something kids simply inherit, and church shouldn't be somewhere they simply attend.
At Southwest, we want to come alongside your family through every stage of growing up. That means creating a place where kids can build real friendships, ask real questions, discover who Jesus is, learn Scripture, serve others, and gradually take ownership of their faith.
Whether your child is taking their first steps, starting middle school, graduating high school, or figuring out young adulthood, we want them to know they have a place in Christ's Church.
THEY ARE
KNOWN
Leaders who learn their
name and care about
their story.
THEY ARE CONNECTED
Real relationships with
other kids, students,
leaders and the Church.
THEY ARE
GROWING
Biblical teaching that meets them where they are and challenges them to take their next step.
THEY ARE
INVOLVED
Opportunities to participate, serve, lead, and eventually help others follow Jesus.
We Grow With Them
Kids don't simply move from one program to another as they get older. We intentionally prepare them for each next stage, building relationships before transitions happen and helping them grow toward greater faith, responsibility, leadership, and discipleship.
One Mission Through Every Stage
The activities change as kids grow. The mission doesn’t.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. -Proverbs 22:6

Your Child Isn’t A Number.
Every child develops differently—and that's okay.
Some kids learn differently. Some need to move. Some communicate differently. Some are socially or developmentally ahead of or behind others their age.
We don't assume age, attention span, academic ability and spiritual understanding are all the same thing.
Our leaders work to understand each young person by asking:
Where do they belong?
What will help them participate and learn?
What's their next step with Jesus?
And whenever possible, we work with families to understand what helps each child participate, learn, build relationships, and take their next step with Jesus.
We Know Their Name.
The ministers, teachers, assistants, and volunteers aren’t simply here to teach lessons. We are here to set an example, mentor, lead, protect, pray, and consistently point young people toward Jesus.
We See Them.
We Know Them.
We Love Them.

Kids in 6th grade and younger are welcome in whatever is comfortable for them. There are some kids in dressier clothes and some in shorts and T-shirts. We welcome you to come as you are.
-
We have a team of loving and safe volunteers that will take great care of your kids. All volunteers are background checked and go through training to make sure your child is in a safe and nurturing environment. We do understand that sometimes you’d like to see it for yourself, so you are welcome to accompany your child.
-
We invite anyone who has been baptized to take communion. We ask that you do not give communion to your child(ren) unless they have been baptized.
-
Tell us about them. We'd love to talk about what helps your child feel comfortable and participate successfully. You can contact Roy Browning by Clicking Here.

We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word and our only standard for faith and practice. We believe that God’s Word holds absolute and essential truth for all mankind. Within its pages, we discover core truths that are unchanging and indispensable for every person wanting to follow Christ.
With that being said, we use curriculum from Group.com. The NextGen Kids program follows the Two or More curriculum and the teens and young adults study LIVE.
If you would like more information on what we believe, click here.
If you have more questions about the curriculum, you can reach out to Roy Browning here.
There’s A Place for Your Family Here.
