NEXTGEN is so much more than just a place to drop off your kids

Growing up is complicated. Faith shouldn't be something kids simply inherit, and church shouldn't be somewhere they simply attend.

At Southwest, we want to come alongside your family through every stage of growing up. That means creating a place where kids can build real friendships, ask real questions, discover who Jesus is, learn Scripture, serve others, and gradually take ownership of their faith.

Whether your child is taking their first steps, starting middle school, graduating high school, or figuring out young adulthood, we want them to know they have a place in Christ's Church.

THEY ARE
KNOWN

Leaders who learn their
name and care about
their story.

THEY ARE CONNECTED

Real relationships with
other kids, students,
leaders and the Church.

THEY ARE
GROWING

Biblical teaching that meets them where they are and challenges them to take their next step.

THEY ARE
INVOLVED

Opportunities to participate, serve, lead, and eventually help others follow Jesus.

We Grow With Them

Parents, Ministers, Volunteers, and Kids all on the same mission…

The NextGen program comes alongside kids, teens, and young adults through each stage of life, helping them know and follow Jesus, find their place in His church, and grow into disciples who make disciples.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

-Proverbs 22:6

Together, we are guiding the next generations to become the future leaders of the church.

The NextGen program comes alongside kids, teens, and young adults through each stage of life, helping them know and follow Jesus, find their place in His church, and grow into disciples who make disciples.

A Safe Place to Learn

From birth through 6th grade, kids change A LOT! As they grow in mind, body, and spirit, they experience new aspects of life every day. Our goal during these formative years is to come alongside them in a safe and loving environment to show God’s love and plant the seeds of faith that will grow with them.

Finding a Place to Belong and Grow

Once a young person becomes a teenager, they start to seek their place in the world. They start wondering about the changes in their life and who they will become. From 7th to 12th grade, these maturing young people need a place where they can ask the hard questions. Where they can fit in and know they are loved. Where they develop meaningful relationships, and where they can start to make their faith their own.

We help them grow, learn to serve, and learn what it really means to follow Jesus with their whole life.
